Code Complaint Form

Acknowledgement

We are committed to ensuring the safety of Australians using dating services from online-enabled harm. We take all complaints seriously and we will ensure that all complaints are handled with the utmost seriousness and diligence.

To help us maintain the integrity of the Code complaint process, we ask that you carefully read the following information before proceeding:

  1. The Code commenced on 1 October 2024 and there is a six-month transition period to enable dating services to implement the changes to their systems, processes and policies necessary to comply with the Code. You can submit a complaint using this form about a dating service if you think that they have contravened the Code during the transition period. However, dating services are not subject to any Code sanctions which may be applied to non-compliant dating services during the transition period.

  2. This form should only be used if you think a dating service has contravened the Code. Any complaints about the dating service's policies or terms of use, your dating service account, or interactions with other users of the dating service should be directed to the dating service concerned. We will not respond to your complaint if your complaint does not relate to a contravention or potential contravention of the Code.

  3. This form refers to online enabled harm which includes any online or physical world activity between users of a dating service who were initially introduced to each other on that dating service, which results in sexual misconduct or serious non-sexual harm to one or more of these users. The term "online enabled harm" is defined in the Code which is published here: Online Safety Code for dating services.

  4. Any information which you provide in this form will be handled in accordance with this website's Privacy Policy.

  5. Your complaint will be investigated by the Code Compliance Committee as expeditiously as possible. However, the investigation process may take time (especially if it covers potentially complex matters or if we need to contact you for additional information or clarification during the investigation). We provide no warranty or service levels in respect of the time it will take to respond to any queries. Please also refer to the Website’s terms of use.
  6. To report emergencies, safety concerns or if you believe someone is in danger, contact local authorities immediately. You must not submit anything via the Website that instead should be submitted to law enforcement authorities.
